Curricular Structure

CPGEO's curricular structure provides technical-scientific development appropriate to lines of research in addition to ensuring solid didactic-pedagogical and scientific training. It is organized to ensure broad learning opportunities, including scientific training content (Research Methodology), pedagogical training (Introduction to Teaching), as well as specific knowledge related to AC and the two LPs.

It has 17 disciplines and the Master's Final Paper activity distributed across three cores: Common, Specific and Complementary. The Common Core is made up of mandatory disciplines that focus on the study of the scientific method, research ethics and the major outcome and focus of the Course, which is Occupation, Participation and Inclusion. The Specific Core is made up of optional disciplines that are related to the Course's lines of research, enabling students to deepen specific knowledge in their area of interest. The Complementary Core is made up of the disciplines 'Special Topics', which aims to analyze and deepen current themes relevant to the study of Occupation, Participation and Inclusion, as well as the subject 'Teaching Internship' and the activity 'Master's Final Paper'. These disciplines offer flexibility and contact with current and innovative issues in a systematic way, adding value to training on the subject.

Additionally, CPGEO students have the opportunity to take disciplines offered by other PPGs, increasing transdisciplinary training. CPGEO considers the carrying out of complementary activities, such as participation in a scientific event with work presentation, participation in defenses of PPGs that have an interface with the Course's field of study and publications, to complete credits (maximum 03 credits) corresponding to specific core or complementary core disciplines.
